Thanks to both Ken's generosity and your hard work! Doesn't mean I won't do my best to put your truck into the wall. But I will do it nicely =)

Thanks Ken and J2 for the computer. Ive got some ideas id like to share for next years racing season. Maybe we can all try to have a meeting sometime in December. Maybe a Christmas party/meeting to discuss future plans for the ORCCC. Anyone interested? I know a place we can have the party :-) Might be some awards to give out too...Just maybe...HAHA! Of course they wont be for placing in any races but stuff like "best hair", "biggest cry baby", "bringing the heat" **cough**Dex**cough** Should be fun. I have to admit I miss racing with you guys and gals (matt & timmy), and im gonna try to erase all the bad stuff (like my driving skills) and start over fresh. Happy Halloween! See you all in a couple of months. Peace

I think I just got too discouraged the last race. I realized that I need to run with what I can drive comfortably and eventually I can graduate up to the big leagues. I tried to go from novice to pro without any gradual move and I got my butt handed to me..lol..It took the fun factor out and thats not good

From what I understand the buggies are hardest to learn... tell you what though, I am loving mod truck. Just got my T4, courtesy of Dennis, dialed by a pro =) Granted there were only 4 in mod truck today, I didn't completely roll over for Danny (I took second). Maybe you aughta check out stadium trucks - I find it easier to drive than slash, faster, and more forgiving =)

Re:New Computer is done and setup!

I actually ran a T4 for a short period of time Aaron. It was the best vehicle I had as far as handling and fit my novice driving skills. I am getting another one this week. I am also getting a Novak 13.5 combo for it. Larry is working on a pretty bad ass paint scheme for me. So its back on. Couple more months and im coming out to redeem myself :-) Looking forward to running Truck with you guys. Aaron do you have a 13.5 in yours? I want to get back into running in the State series next go around. Stock Truck class. Would be cool to have a few of us from Ocala running together

Re:New Computer is done and setup!

If you want to get fast, keep running 2wheel. If you look at all the fast guys in FL that you race with, there is one common theme, they have ran 2wheel since they were little kids. Guys like Jason, JR, Eckert, Matt, myself, etc - our first cars were RC10's and Jrx Pro's in the early/mid '90's We learned to drive overpowered 2wheel drive cars with hard rubber tires that didn't have/need foam inserts. The slash kit tires have more bite than the old tires did 20 years ago.
We you can get around the track with a B4, mod motor, on half worn-out tires when the track is a little sketchy, you are making some progress. There is not class that will advance your car control like 2wheel.
Genova, Mote, and now you guys can look at this kid Austin - he is getting a B4, and will figure out how to go fast with it. It is the hardest thing to drive, when you figure out 2 wheel, you can race anything, because everything else, truck, 4wheel, 1/8th, touring car, etc, are all easier.

RE:New Computer is done and setup!

Agree 100%...... I drove an 1/8 buggy the other day and I couldn't belive how easy they are do drive. I started out in 1/8th scale and sold it all to go to 1/10. Someone told me it would help me drive better. It was difficult to get a handle on at first, but it's not a problem now. But going from 1/10 to 1/8 is a dream.

Yup, I got the combo you suggested Todd, the Novak 13.5 Brushless sensored motor and Havoc ESC. It fits the bill pretty nicely. I was running a 22t pinion and the stock spur for 20 minutes and the motor was lukewarm. I am gonna bump up to a 24t or 25t. And I will definitely agree that the T4 seems easy to drive, especially after starting out with a Slash with stock tires =)

Sounds good Aaron. I actually found a great deal on Ebay for a new Novak GTB speedo with the 13.5 combo. I am going to start out with a 87/23 gearing. I should be ready to roll around the middle of December. Hoping to have it ready for the Clash

Yeah... I drove TC for awhile then went to 12th scale...talking about a night & day difference, that 12th scale stuff will make ya learn throttle control or break ya....lol Now Im giving this 2wd buggy a try for awhile & see what happens...atleast I didnt break...lmaoooo & was waaaaay out motored for running with you guys since I was only using a 13.5 So first time out on the track with it I was pleased on how I ran...but checking the buggy over I noticed some things I need to address with the setup... I will try,try again
